Telling story and Sense of responsibility

In Iranian primitive society grandmothers had a big duty. Narrate. They were a storyteller. However, my grandmother never told me any story even her life’s story. It’s clear that everybody will have their stories. Perhaps she hadn’t able or hadn’t liked to speak about them. What’s the reason of this silence? My grandfather had a very time to tell a story to his grandchild. However, he doesn’t tell me any story either. Certainly, all these silences have their reasons. Most of this reason contains one important factor. Sense of responsibility. They hadn’t comprehended their duties on our society.

Telling Stories and Sense of Responsibility
Traditionally, in Iranian society, grandparents have had a big duty: to narrate. They were storytellers. However, my grandmother never told me any stories; not even her own life story. It’s clear that everybody has a life story. Perhaps my grandmother couldn’t, or didn’t like to speak about hers. What’s the reason for her silence? And my grandfather, although he has lots of time to tell stories to his great-grandchild, just like my grandmother, he never told me any stories either. Certainly, their silence has reasons. Reasons which include one important factor: lack of sense of responsibility. They had not comprehended their duties as grandparents in our society.
